Participation That Brings People Together

Viewfinder+ is a program that uses photography to help people share their stories, explore community issues, and come up with real solutions together..
​
Over 6-10 weeks, participants:

Learn and Explore: Learn photography and storytelling skills, build confidence, and see their lives and communities in new ways.
​
Document and Understand: Use cameras and stories to show the truths of their community, including what helps and what causes harm.
​
Create and Speak Up: Work together to create art and share their findings with leaders to help improve systems and policies.
Grow as Leaders: Build creative and leadership skills while taking ownership of community solutions.

Who Guides Viewfinder+
​
Every organization is led by a main facilitator who supports participants and keeps the program focused. Local partners such as artists, mentors, historians, and athletes also join in to share their knowledge and guide the group.

Every facilitation team brings local experience, care, and creativity to the process whether the program happens in one neighborhood, across a city, or in another state.
